The people building Scribe Mutual.

Shuo Li, M.D.

Founder

Shuo is a physician who spent years navigating the gap between what clinicians need from their documentation tools and what existing systems actually deliver. That frustration became the catalyst for Scribe Mutual.

He founded the company to build a clinical documentation platform grounded in how medicine is actually practiced — one where AI assists the workflow without replacing the clinician's judgment, and where the patient can see the same record their doctor signs.

Shuo leads product direction, clinical architecture, and the company's regulatory and compliance posture. He writes code, reviews every note-generation pipeline change, and is usually the first person a new pilot clinician talks to.

Jennifer Lee, MFA

Chief Creative Officer

Jennifer brings a design-led perspective to a space that rarely gets one. With a background in visual storytelling and brand strategy, she shapes how Scribe Mutual looks, feels, and communicates — from the marketing website to product interfaces to investor-facing materials.

She proposed the split-screen homepage concept that anchors the current site, reflecting the dual clinician-patient identity at the core of the product. Her work spans brand identity, typography systems, information architecture, and the visual language that ties the platform together.

Jennifer ensures that everything the company puts in front of a user — whether a busy clinician or a patient reading a note for the first time — is clear, intentional, and worthy of trust.
